Davit Country Band & Niamh Lynn

The Davitt Country Band are a family band, all coming from the village of Ferns in the county Wexford. They have music in their blood as the band's grandfather played trumpet for forty years in the showband era with his brothers, and with the lad's great grand-father -their manager. All of the Davitts started playing music from a very young age, as you can see from the youthful line-up of the band.

Following the success of their debut album in 2012, the band has gone on to win many music awards such as The Sunday World's "Best New Band", Hot Country's "New Band of the Year" and Irish Country Sounds "Rising Stars" award, as well as numerous others. The band then started touring all over the U.K. Playing to their fans overseas was a great experience for the band and gave them a whole new audience.

Niamh’s first single, ‘Sing Me An Old Fashioned Song’ and the accompanying video caused quite a sensation when it was released in April 2015 getting 20,000 hits on YouTube in the immediate weeks – with much attention put on the accompanying video and ‘That Dress and Those Shoes’!!!!!
